Creativity & A Witch’s Craft – March 17th (OSTARA RITUAL)

Monday, March 17th, 6-8pm @ Brewing Intuition:
Creativity & A Witch’s Craft: Make Candles, Decorate Eggs & Celebrate Ostara!

It’s almost Ostara! Let’s make it extra magical this year…

The middle of March brings us our Spring Equinox in the northern hemisphere and helps us usher in the official beginning of Spring!!!! FINALLY! 

Magically, this Wheel of the Year festival invites us to celebrate the renewed warmth, growth, and light with creativity, spring cleaning, and earth connection.

This workshop also takes place on St. Patrick’s Day (which, perhaps, ought to be referred to as “All Snakes Day”! – but more on that at the workshop), a touchy holiday that’s worth discussing in terms of modern and ancient paganism. We’ll reclaim the magic of it together in spite of its problematic origins.

On top of this special point in the Wheel of the Year and the addition of St. Patrick’s Day, this workshop also occurs during a beautiful solar portal whose cosmic influence blesses our ritual with extreme potency. Both of these alignments happen once a year so they’re not super rare, but the fact that they both happen this week and accentuate our Ostara celebrations is quite notable nonetheless! 

On Monday the 17th, the Sun is aligned with the North Node, and then on Thursday the 20th, the Sun is aligned with Neptune! Very soulful, productive, spiritual, and growth-oriented energies support us through our creative magic!

In this workshop, we’ll be holding space for this special moment in a few ways:

1. We’ll discuss the magic and possibilities of Ostara, a little bit of the “All Snakes Day” / “St. Patrick’s Day” lore, & the support of our Solar conjunctions happening with the North Node and Neptune.

2. We’ll get creative with eggs, a primary theme for both snakes and Ostara! We’ll decorate some hard-boiled eggs (a classic Ostara celebration). 

3. We’ll also make cutie candles with egg shells, and we’ll craft some simple wire stands for them too.

4. We’ll end with some Spring flower divination and send you off discussing ways you can carry this Ostara magic back to your own home to “seal the deal”! hehe

In order to make this ritual a success, I invite you to just bring yourself and your openness to create! If you’d like, you can also bring an offering to add to the altar we’ll create together, but that’s not necessary. Thank you in advance!

This is going to be so sacred, fun, and timely! I’m so excited that we’ll get to hold this space together to celebrate the seasonal shift, the transits, and this next chapter of your life filled with light.
