Backyard Apothecary: From Weeds to Remedies

Led by Emily, herbalist and owner of Brewing Intuition, this workshop explores the kind of herbalism that starts close to home, with the plants that grow along fences, under trees, and in the places we often overlook.

We'll spend the evening learning about a small group of wild plants and how they’ve been used in folk medicine. We’ll talk through their properties, traditional applications, and the basics of harvesting and preparation. The focus is on keeping things simple and hands-on, with space to ask questions and work directly with the plants.

If the weather is nice, we’ll step outside for a short plant walk in the side yard. Each participant will make a custom tincture during class and take home a printed guide for continued reference.

No prior experience is needed. Just an interest in herbs and a curiosity about the medicine growing nearby.
